Well, once again, here we go! This was that type of game where you can just about throw in the towel on the season. Well done, Redskins. Now, there is still a LOT of games to be played, but if you haven't noticed, the next 4 games are brutal! It is very reasonable to think that this team will be 1-6, and the blame game will begin. I think that at worst my beloved team will be 2-5, but I'm really struggling to find a win in there.
For the record, I almost didn't post this blog. I figured the Redskins took the week off, so why couldn't I?
Offense - In a word? Terrible. Santana Moss and Chris Cooley are obviously the targets that McNabb likes. Clinton Portis falling down in the open field is inexcusable, and I'm glad Ryan Torain is back. I thought he should have made the 53 man roster from jump street, and I'm glad he's back. Here's an idea, how about scoring a touchdown when you're in the endzone? 4th and 1 from the 6? What the hell, go for it!
Defense - Still 32nd in the league. Is there anything else you need to know? There just simply is NOT the personnel to run the 3-4. Oh, and why should the O go for it on 4th and 1 inside the 10? Because the D can't get anyone off the field!
Special Teams - Another week, another blocked kick. This time a punt. Well done.
Nobody gets a game ball this week. This loss was inexcusable, and from players to coaches it was a terrible loss!
Prediction:
Redskins - 17 Eagles - 35
As always, Hail to the Redskins!
